Last year I set my personal record in regards to how much I traveled. I was able to see 9 different countries in one year! A couple of these countries I've already visited in the past, but the majority was new territory for me! I also had the pleasure of visiting the island of Kauai twice, and a ski trip to Lake Tahoe in California.
A Soft Opening
The first 10 days of 2017 was spent on the beautiful "Garden Island" of Kauai. I relaxed by the beach, tested out my new GoPro gimbal for the first time and did some hiking. The highlight of this trip was doing yoga for the first time, yoga makes you feel awesome! Spending so much time in a tropical paradise for the first part of 2017 was a perfect way to start off the year, I knew that I had a lot more travels ahead of me....
Just a few weeks later my friend Tim and I flew down to South Lake Tahoe to do some skiing and to attend a "Chive" party. The Chive gave us a discounted room at the Mont Bleu Casino & Resort. We skied/snowboarded, gambled, drank a lot, and partied our asses off. It was a fun-packed yet short weekend in Tahoe.
Mexico and Belize
February was spent in my hometown of Bend, Oregon, all I did was work. The next month of March was a little bit more exciting, I flew down to Austin, TX for few days to work an outdoor stage at SXSW. All I really did was work, didn't party too much, only because I was going down to the Caribbean right after! Right after my last shift at SXSW I hopped on a flight down to Cancun, Mexico. I had some friends with me so we drank before the airport, in the airport and on the plane. By the time we got to Cancun I hardly knew who I was.
